Growth in the Erlang Comunity. His first consulting gig in the US was in 2002 in chicago. At that point not more then 10 companies using Erlang in the US. One of those companies was Cellpoint, which eventually brought Erlang to South Africa, where it has grown tremendously.

Requests per month at www.erlang.org

In 2002 it was 250000 per month.

Downloads was 7500 in jan 2002, massive spike from 3500 month before. A little worried that the downloads for windows jumped too.

The standard textbook at the time was 200 bucks a copy now.

Timeline of early, early websites. (massive number of erlang links on dmoz, a week of work for Francesco).

2002 was the first SIGPLAN workshop. This was the first Erlang event Martin spoke at.
